Vertical Milling

Leveling adjusters / Rollers
Here's an idea I came up with to help level & move the Grizzly 6760
mill.
The four adjusting bolts make leveling a snap and with the four roller
bearings I
can lower the mill and roll it easily.
Here's a close up showing how it works.
The 5/8" leveling stud allows easy & precise adjusting.

The leveling brackets are made from 5/8" thick steel plate. 24" long x
2 1/2" wide.

I drilled and tapped 5/8-13 threads for the leveling studs and
attaching bolts.

5/8"-13 threaded holes.

I welded 5/8-13 nuts on each end of the brackets. This is what
the roller bearings attach to.

I used four sealed roller bearings that I picked up on Ebay.
The bearings are 3/4" ID x 1 3/4" OD (1635RS).
If you look closely at the ID of the bearing you can see where I used a
5/8" x 3/4" bushing.
The 3/4" ID bearings were cheap, I could not find any 5/8" ID with a
large
OD.
The 1 3/4" OD bearings work perfect and rolls the mill easily.

Each bracket is attached using two 5/8" x 6 1/2" long bolts.
I used threaded rod cut to length.

I rounded the ends of the leveling studs and used 1/4" thick steel plate
to make a pad for the stud to press against.
The 1/4" steel plate was drilled with a 5/8" drill bit to allow for the
rounded stud.
This all sits on a small piece of 1/4" rubber ( old mud flap material )

Finished and works great!!!!
Thanks everyone,
